Happy Holidays to everyone!

Regardless of the holiday you celebrate please know that when the events are over and extended friends and family go home Advocacy Partners will be here to help the transition back to school.

Here are some friendly reminders about holiday gatherings and how best to support students with special needs:

1.) Plan Ahead -Consider your child's specific needs and choose accommodations that are comfortable and quiet

2.) Prepare a travel kit - Include familiar items and sensory toys

3.) Inform the airlines - If you are flying, let the airline know about your child's needs in advance - most airlines will allow families with children who have more significant needs (including anxiety) pre-board to obtain a location in the aircraft suitable for you and your child
